Team Syllabus

The attached link is information that was presented at the Parent's Meeting and also to the team members. The last page must by printed off, signed by at least one parent and the student and turned in to Coach McAnany by Friday, Aug. 25 to be eligible to compete this season.

Blue-White-Red Reaction

We have posted the results and after spending some time analyzing the results - we need to step up our practice habits. This week, the coaches will be evaluating the team members to see who will earn the privilege to race in the first official race this coming Saturday. Attitude and effort will be our focus on everything we do this week. 

You can also see the updated groups. We didn't change a whole lot this year as we will wait for a larger sample size. 

If you are in group A or a junior or senior, you are required to be at morning practices as well as afternoon. Those in group C, morning practices are optional. We do not have freshman attend any morning practices. Morning practices now start at 6:15 a.m. Make sure to bring shower items, school clothes, breakfast, etc.

At the team summit, team members and coaches voted the following as team captains: Peter Campbell, Tom Seitzer, Andrew Connor, Will Tampke, Jamie Sullivan, Luke Hupke.

3K Time Trial Results

UPDATE: After some discussion with coaches we have adjusted the groups to try and put similarly fit groups together better.

We post results under the Meet Result tab so you can check for them there. Please note that in these results, it includes an update on groups and which uniform you will get Monday at practice. We have team pictures on Wednesday, Aug. 9th and you will learn more about those Monday as well.


 

2017 Team Schedule

We will group several times throughout the season based on time trials, workouts, races, attitudes.

Team Pasta Dinner

Just a reminder that on Thursday, September 14 in the Dining Commons, we will have a pasta dinner for all team members and their families. We hope you can be there.

Track & Field

Congratulations

The track & field squad was represented in 3 events at the state track meet in Jefferson City. Congratulations to Danny Toomey `17 for his third place finish in the 800John Luder `17 for his 4th place finish in the 1600. Also commendations to the 4X800 relay team of Toomey, Luder, Zach DeLong, Tom Seitzer, Gunnar Gregory and Peter Campbell for qualifying.

Good job to the coaches, team members and special thanks to the parents and family for all their support of Rockhurst Track & Field.


Welcome to the 2017 Season

Athletes will need a completed physical before participating in track and field which can be found under the athletic tab on rockhursths.edu. Athletes will need a signed syllabus (by themselves and a parent/guardian) before they can compete in a meet. Athletes will further need a $75 deposit for their uniforms (as long as they are returned in good condition to Coach Day by the 6/1 that check will be shedded).

Syllabus and Forms

Please click on the following Team Syllabus in order to print off, sign, and turn into the coaching staff before our spring break. There is a MSHSAA form that needs to be completed which is on the rockhursths.edu website under the athletics tab. Also, each student athlete needs a physical turned in the Dean's Office by the start of the season in order to practice with the team. If you have already participated in Rockhurst Athletics during this school year, then you do not need to obtain a new physical.
